About Us
The TFA Junior Robotics Team is a team from TFA Academy in Vancouver, Canada. The team consists of students from around the Vancouver area, who compete in robotics competitions around the world. Notable wins include the Western Canada 2018 RoboCup Junior Rescue Line, the 2019 RoboRave Fire Fighting, the 2020 RoboCup Junior Rescue Simulation Demonstration Competition, and the 2021 RoboCup Junior Soccer Simulation Demonstration Competition. The team has also travelled to Sydney, Australia for RoboCup 2019.
Victor
Team Member
Victor started robotics in Grade 9, and has competed in multiple robotics tournaments ever since. He has a passion for computer vision, and image processing. Outside of school, he plays competitive chess, badminton, tennis, and works with youth volunteer groups. He will be skipping grade 12, and graduating as a grade 11 student in June of 2021. He intends to pursue an engineering degree in university.
Leo
Team Member
Leo started robotics in grade 8. He has won several robotics competitions. He is interested in movement control, data processing, and 3D printing. In his leisure, he likes to solve a variety of Rubik’s cubes, solve sudokus, play hockey, and ski.
David
Team Member
David is very passionate about robotics. As a grade 8 student, David loves math and learning about different processes. One of his favourite activities is in designing 3D chassis and other parts.
